Introducing
Talking Animals Music’s new special label wine

Lolo Pinot Noir

A unique collaboration between
Talking Animals Music, Folktale Winery & Lolo

Talking Animals Musiand Folktale Winery have launched a new collaboration with music artists who perform at the winery in Carmel, CA.  Kicking off with the Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter LOLO and her newest EP LOLO Solo: Live at Folktale Winery, Folktale’s newest wine is Talking Animals LOLO PINOT NOIR (Mission Ranch 2014). The EP is only available through the Talking Animals Music website, and a special code on each bottle of the wine unlocks access to download the songs.  To celebrate the launch, LOLOwill perform aprivate, solo concert on Wednesday, September 19thatFolktale Winery in Carmel, CA.

The new efforfocuses on releasing live performances recorded by Talking Animals in the winery’s fabled Barrel Room in conjunction with a Folktale wine selected by the artist. For this inaugural event, LOLO will perform a 30-minuteset and then join the party to meet fans and autograph bottles of the new wine that bears her name, having helped select the varietal and vintage.

As an artist, I love to make things that leave a lasting impression,LOLO writes. “Folktale has given me a place to bring my most honest self to the table and the freedom to bring a different musical experience to listeners. I hope our wine and music collaboration leaves folks with that same impression.

From Jackson, TN, LOLO is a show-stopping singer who has “so much music flowing through [her] that it fills two people” (Associated Press). LOLO is a favorite at Folktale Winery, from her initial concert in 2016 as part of the “Live in the Vines” series to her mesmerizing performance in the 2017 benefit concert for the Henry Miller Library. The new EP captures the best of that last performance recorded at Folktale, in recordings produced and mixed for Talking Animals Music by Mark Governor in close collaboration with the artist.

“What makes this recording so special is that we were able to capture LOLO’s raw emotional performance in a rare solo piano-vocal set that is immediate and breathtaking,” says Governor.“Some of the songs were actually written during LOLO’s stays at Folktale Winery, and one is a world premiere, having just been written the day before the show.”
